A seemingly perfect couple find themselves on the verge of divorce after Jenny (Alison Steadman) finds out that her husband (Kevin Whately) has been having an affair. They both get themselves a lawyer but it soon becomes apparent that both solicitors appear more interested in each other than they do their cases. Meanwhile, their daughter tries her best to help reconcile the situation. Oh, and then there's the important decision of who gets the dog.
